World Cancer Day 2023

World Cancer Day held every 4 February is the global uniting initiative led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). By raising worldwide awareness, improving education and catalysing personal, collective and government action, we are all working together to reimagine a world where millions of preventable cancer deaths are saved and access to life-saving cancer treatment and care is equitable for all – no matter who you are or where you live.

This year’s World Cancer Day’s theme, “Close the Care Gap”, is all about celebrating progress in its many forms that enable more people to seek and receive the care they need and deserve. It is about providing the momentum to fuel our fight for fairness. We will build stronger alliances and innovative new collaborations; we will mobilise friends, family, co-workers and communities because we know that united, we are stronger.

Join us on 4 February and help close the cancer care gap for a cancer-free world.

#TackleYourBalls campaign

Throughout April

For Testicular Cancer Awareness Month we run our #𝚃𝚊𝚌𝚔𝚕𝚎𝚈𝚘𝚞𝚛𝙱𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚜 campaign to remind the men in our lives the importance of checking their testicles for lumps or any changes.

Around 2,300 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer in the UK every year but it can be curable if detected early

This is a reminder for you to give your balls a feel every month or so, get to know what is normal for you, and if anything changes you can act on it early.

Join the campaign this April, take a photo holding two balls (all sports welcome!) and use the hashtag #TackleYourBalls

Your share could make the difference to a friend, loved on or teammate today!

#BallsToBreastCancer campaign

Throughout October

During October we run 𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗥 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

More than a third of women don’t check their breasts and we want to help you remember by asking you to #GiveItATry. It’s as simple as: Touch, Look, Check!

Show your support in our campaign by taking a photo holding one or two balls (every sport welcome!). Send them in, and post to your socials tagging us and use the hashtags #BallsToBreastCancer #GiveItATry

We’d love you all to get involved and help us in a very important message every Autumn! 💙
