Rugby is at the heart of what we do as a charity to raise awareness and vital funds: the more we play, the more eyes will be aware of the charity and the more support we can give.
Our rugby teams play in Rugby Against Cancer organised matches, third party events and at sevens tournaments.
Our teams are Barbarians-style from rugby clubs across the UK, and players come together to play for the cause on the front of their shirts. We celebrate diversity and our debutants, so please do get involved no matter which club or where you come from. Most of our fixtures are currently in London and the South of England, as we grow we are hoping to be able to play further afield.
Since the launch of the charity we have had a Men’s XV team and they have been a core at our charity events.
Prominent fixtures for our main Men’s side include;
v Sid Street XV
v Pacific Islanders Rugby Club
v London Welsh Select XV
We are dedicated to keeping the team fresh and allowing new players for each match to play for a special cause. If you are interested in playing for our XVs side email our team manager jim@rugbyagainstcancer.com with your details.
Our women’s team feature at our big charity events and we are looking to develop their involvement even more within the charity to help us reach new audiences.
The most prominent fixture for our women’s side is:
v Pacific Islanders Rugby Club Womens
If you are keen to help us grow the Women’s side and get involved please email fred@rugbyagainstcancer.com with your details.
